From 2 to 3 November, at the invitation of the West Highland Chamber of Commerce, Consul General Zhang Biao and his delegation visited the West Highlands of Scotland.

During the visit, the delegation toured Kishorn Port, as well as the salmon hatchery and processing facilities of Mowi Scotland. They gained first-hand insights into port operations, the development of the salmon industry, and the companies’ production and business activities. They also held discussions with representatives of the companies.

During the visit, Consul General Zhang also met with Ali Smith, President of the West Highland Chamber of Commerce, Frazer Coupland, its Chief Executive, and several Chamber members. They exchanged views on further strengthening mutual understanding and deepening practical cooperation in areas including trade, economic affairs and new energy.

Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining closer contact and working together to promote common cooperation and development.
