On July 5, Consul General Zhang Biao attended a luncheon organized by the China-Britain Business Council(CBBC) at the headquarter of Weir Group in Glasgow and had broad discussions on China-Scotland cooperation with some senior executives from sectors of finance, education, energy and agriculture. 

Consul General Zhang introduced the sound momentum of China's economic growth and bright prospects for development, stressing that China will continue to deepen comprehensive  reform and expand opening up at a higher level. He encouraged business community in Scotland to expand pragmatic cooperation with China to achieve more win-win results.

CBBC members briefed their business and engagement with China respectively, and expressed their optimism in furthering exchange and cooperation with China.
