Lord Provost of Glasgow City Council, Councillor Jacqueline McLaren welcomed Consul General Ma Qiang to the City Chambers on Monday 6 June. The two sides discussed the strong and fruitful links between China and Glasgow.

Consul General congratulated Cllr McLaren on her election as Glasgow's new Lord Provost. He talked about close cooperation between China and Glasgow in trade and technology, education and sports. Cllr McLaren looked forward to working with Chinese partners to further these mutually-beneficial links.
