Consul General Ma Qiang was delighted to address the Scotland China Education Network (SCEN) Conference at Boroughmuri High School on 15th March, where he met Simon Macaulay (Chair of the SCEN), David Dempster (Head Teacher of Boroughmuir High), City Councillor Gavin Barrie and some of Boroughmuir pupils who take up Mandarin at school.

Consul General encouraged pupils to continue to make excellent progress, enjoy cross-cultural exchanges and play a part in promoting China-Scotland relations when possible. Mr. Macaulay and Mr. Dempster both reiterated their commitment to further contributing to the development of Chinese language education in Scotland.

Some pupils attending the conference shared their journey in Mandarin while others performed beautiful Chinese poem reading and musical items.
